Yeah, Beatles lyrics. But It describes my feelings looking at the current Reading Festival lineup. Hell yeah it’s good. But with Glasto pulling out a blinder of a lineup, I wish i could’ve afforded tickets to both. They even have SPINAL FLIPPING TAP. How the hell did Eavis pull that out of the bag?!?!
Quiet, I need to content myself with what I already have. I’m seeing my favourite band ever, RADIOHEAD! they will be the best thing ever, I just know it. Plus, Arctic Monkeys and Kings of Leon, two other bands I’ve been dying to see live for a long time, are on the line-up. It’s pretty much a perfect set of headliners, I’m just wishing the rest of the line up gains some more, great additions. I already posted about the first lot of the lineup coming out, but there are some new additions, plus still more space on the already-epic looking bill.
Newbies include; Passion Pit, Metronomy, The Virgins Dananananakroyd, two sets from Alexisonfire, the Rakes, Lethal Bizzle and the Horrors. So Yeah, i’m pumped up about it, just hoping for a couple more, maybe Animal Collective? or Bon Iver, don’t say they dont have slow acoustic stuff because they’ve had Conor Oberst and Seasick Steve before, plus the other stages have not been revealed. For me, there is definitely going to be some heavy weighing up of options of what to see/hear.

erm, it’ll be York, isn’t that up North? I wanna work with this prof named Wogan-Browne, she’s bloody brilliant and I’ve read everything she’s written ever. also, all of my scholarly work is super indebted to her, as she translated most of the things that I’ve read.
either that or University of Southampton (with Prof Millett), do you have any idea where that is?

I’m going to Glastonbury and I wish I could have afforded both aswell. However Radiohead and Arctic Monkeys are tipped to be two of the three secret slots so hopefully I will catch them!

I AM SO JELOUS! Radiohead is my favorite band as well, and seeing them live is on my list of life goals. It sucks living in Germany, the music scene is so… bleh compared to the UK

and the UK is always so good, where i live there aren’t normally decent gigs unless using expensive travel

Yeah, I’m kinda new, but I’ve deleted a lot of my posts so that’s why there are barely any on my blog :/ haha I was going through a blog self-hatred phase…Now I’m getting back into it again (hopefully). How long have you been doing this?
